The
Contrasts between Christ and the Antichrist!
Any housewife knows that the best way to remember the
things she meant to do and forgot is to start praying. They will
come to her mind to divert her from prayer. The devil will let a
preacher prepare a sermon if it will keep him from preparing
himself. In these last days the devil will manifest himself as an
imitation of the Lord.
The Bible calls him the antichrist.
He will deceive the nations. The Bibles states (Mat 24:22 KJV) And
except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be
saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Many ask the question, how can we
recognize him when he comes on the scene? In this outline we list
the contrast between him and our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Came out of the bottomless pit.
-Revelation 11:7 (KJV) And when they shall have finished
their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the
bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall

1. Came down from heaven.
-John 6:38 (KJV) For I came down from heaven, not to do mine
own will, but the will of him that sent me |
2. Comes in his own name.
-John 5:43 (KJV) I am come in my Father's name, and ye
receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him
ye will receive. |

3. Exalts himself.
-2 Thessalonians 2:4 (KJV) Who opposeth and exalteth himself
above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that
he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that
he is God. |
3. He humbled Himself.
-Philippians 2:8 (KJV) And being found in fashion as a man,
he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the
death of the cross. |
4. Will be admired and worshipped by the world.
-Revelation 13:14 (KJV) And deceiveth them that dwell on the
earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to
do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on
the earth, that they should make an image to the beast,
which had the wound by a sword, and did live. |
4 He was despised and rejected of men.
-Isaiah 53:3 (KJV) He is despised and rejected of men; a man
of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were
our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him
not. |
5. Will do his own will.
-Daniel 11:36 (KJV) And the king shall do according to his
will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above
every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God
of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be
accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. |
5. Came to His Father’s Will.
-John 6:38 (KJV) For I came down from heaven, not to do mine
own will, but the will of him that sent me.
(Heb 10:7 KJV) Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the
book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. |
6. Comes to destroy.
-Daniel 8:24 (KJV) And his power shall be mighty, but not by
his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall
prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the
holy people. |
6. He came to seek and to save.
-Luke 19:10 (KJV) For the Son of man is come to seek and to
save that which was lost. |
7 He, Satan, is a liar.
-2 Thessalonians 2:11 (KJV) And for this cause God shall
send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
-John 8:44 (KJV) Ye are of your father the devil, and the
lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the
beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no
truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his
own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. |
7. He is the truth.
-John 14:7 (KJV) If ye had known me, ye should have known my
Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen
him.
-John 8:32 (KJV) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth
shall make you free. |
8. Is the lawless one.
-2 Thessalonians 2:8 (KJV) And then shall that Wicked be
revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his
mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: |
8. He is the Holy One of God.
-Mark 1:24 (KJV) I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of
God. |
9. Is the man of sin.
-2 Thessalonians 2:3 (KJV) Let no man deceive you by any
means: for that day shall not come, except there come a
falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son
of perdition; |
9. He, Jesus, knew no sin.
-Hebrews 4:15 (KJV) For we have not an high priest which
cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but
was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

10. Is the son of perdition.
-2 Thessalonians 2:3 (KJV) and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition; |
10. He is the Holy one of God.
-Luke 1:35 (KJV) And the angel answered and said unto her,
The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the
Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy
thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of
God. |
11. Is the mystery of iniquity.
-2 Thessalonians 2:7 (KJV) For the mystery of iniquity doth
already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be
taken out of the way. |
11. He is the mystery of godliness.
-1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) And without controversy great is the
mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the
Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

12. Will be brought down to hell.
- Revelation 19:20 (KJV) And the beast was taken, and with
him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with
which he deceived them that had received the mark of the
beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were
cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

12. Will be exalted.
-Philippians 2:9-11 (KJV) 9 Wherefore God also hath highly
exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of
things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the
earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus
Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. |
13. Will be cast into the lake of fire.
-Isaiah 14:15 (KJV) Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell,
to the sides of the pit. |
13. Sits on the Throne forever in heaven.
-Rev 10:6 (KJV) And sware by him that liveth for ever and
ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are,
and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea,
and the things which are therein, that there should be time
no longer: |

The devil is defeated already.
God has given us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ!
-1 John 4:4 (KJV) Ye are of God, little children, and have
overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he
that is in the world.
-2 Tim 1:7 (KJV) For God hath not given us the spirit of
fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. |
Our place is with the Lord Jesus Christ forever.
-1 John 5:11 (KJV) And this is the record, that God hath
given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
-1 John 5:12 (KJV) He that hath the Son hath life; and he
that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
-1 John 5:13 (KJV) These things have I written unto you that
believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that
ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of
the Son of God. |
