How to hear the voice of God!

(Rom 8:14 KJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Rom
8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Mat 4:3 KJV And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

I. We must desire to hear the voice of God, if we are to hear the voice of God!

A. Verse 16, God s spirit always bears witnessed with our spirit.
B. Man shall live by every word of God.
C. What proceeds out of the mouth from God is not the Lotus and BUT the REHMA of God
1. God never ceases speaking to us; we must listen to the voice of God.
2. We are like TV or radio receivers. God signals us continuing to broadcast to our spirits but we must tune in,

(1 The 5:23 KJV) And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

II. Body. Makes me world conscious. If we are walking down the street, how do people recognize you? Do they know you by your spirit? By your soul? No, by your body which includes your face.
In 24 hours the average adult accomplishes much:
Your heart beats 103,689 times
Your blood travels 168,000,000 miles
You breathe 23,040 times
You inhale 438 cubic feet of air
You eat 3 1/2 pounds of food
You drink 2.9 quarts of liquid
You lose 7/8 pound of waste
You speak 4,800 words
You move 750 muscles
Your nails grow .000046 inch
You exercise 7,000,000 brain cells It's no wonder you feel tired! Psa 139:13-14

Your body contains:
Enough iron to make a small nail,
Enough salt to fill an ordinary shaker
Enough sugar to fill a small bowl
Enough lime to whitewash a small chicken coop
Enough phosphorus to make a dozen matches
Enough fat to fill a twelve-pound pail
Enough albuminoids to replace the whites of one hundred eggs.
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
The body is a masterpiece of exquisite design. Beautifully "engineered," it is governed by several hundred systems of control -- each interacting with and affecting the other. His brain has 10 billion nerve cells to record what he sees and hears. His skin has more than 2 million tiny sweat glands -- about 3000 per square inch -- all part of the intricate system, which keeps his body at an even temperature. A "pump" in his chest makes his blood travel 168 million miles a day -- equivalent of 6720 times around the world! The lining of his stomach contains 35 million glands secreting juices, which aid the process of digestion. And these are but a few of the involved processes and chemical wonders, which operate to sustain his life.
A young student had been impressed with the fact that most new products have some "bugs" that must be ironed out before they can operate efficiently. As he stood gazing at a chart showing the organs, nerves, arteries, and glands in the human body, he suddenly exclaimed, "Just think, the first time God put it together, it worked!"

###The Body can get too big! It's time to diet when... ###
* You can see the pot at the end of the rainbow -- and it's yours.
* You take a shower, and nothing below your waist gets wet.
* You get your shoes shined, and you have to take the guy's word for it.
* The couch gets up when you do.
* A Peeping Tom begs you to pull your window shades down.
* Kids run to you to stay in the shade.
* Your fingers get stuck in the holes of a dial telephone.
7 But remember: If you cheat on your diet, you gain in the end.
7 We recognize the world around us by our body with the five senses God has given us.
1. The five senses.

A. Touch, seeing, smelling, hearing and taste. By these we recognize the world around about us. We learn, and we exist with these five senses, all worldly knowledge comes to us via these five senses.

III, Soul, this is our personality, intelligence, emotion and willpower in different defining degrees. Tony Abram knows he is a unique person because I have a motion willpower and intelligence.

a. My soul makes me self-conscious.

III. Spirit. It is with our spirit that we are in God conscious.

(John 4:23 KJV) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

a. We can only worship God in spirit and with our spirit.

1. Meditate in God s word. (Learn to do this)
a. This is not memorizing, when I was first beginning my ministry I memorized hundreds of verses. However we need the word in our spirit if are going to understand and hear from God.

Use illustration of a cow with its to stomachs and its chewing.

1. In Hebrew the Word meditation also has a link meaning to the Hebrew word for chewing.

Josh 1:8 KJV This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

(Psa 1:1 KJV) Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

a. We need to meditate on God s word onto a finely falls in our spirits have become so Rema of God. Have you at Times reading the same scripture over and over have a spiritual swallow, and the Word becomes illuminated to you.

b. God s power is in his word! We must then speak God s word as a word of faith.
Rom 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

2. To hear God s voice we must be a Doer of God s word!

Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. 7:28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

A. We have seen thousands healed over the world and all of them became the doers of the Word. The third thing I tell people to receive healing is to put their faith in action and we do this by acting on God s word.

3. We must learn how to pray in the spirit!
1 Cor 14:14 KJV For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

A. Most Pentecostals do not know how to pray in the spirit.

No. 1 Prolonged periods of time of prayer in the spirit are necessary to hear from God.

No. 2 Three things I tell new converts and one of them his to talk to God everyday.

4. We must give ear to the voice of the spirit

Mat 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Mat 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
If Luke 8:8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

a. Many times we cannot hear because there are things interfering. Our body and soul are the greatest hindrance to hearing the voice of God.

in 1936 a radio broadcast was transmitted to America from England. Just before the voice of King Edward VIII was to be heard, someone stumbled over a wire in the control room of WJZ (now WABC, New York) and snapped the only line of communication between the two great countries. The engineers were frantic. Then, with only a few moments remaining before airtime a quick-thinking apprentice grasped the two broken ends of the wire and bridged the gap. Seconds later the King addressed the nation. In a real sense, his words were being transmitted through the body of that man!

Jer 1:6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
Jer 1:7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
Jer 1:8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Jer 1:9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

2 Cor 5:20) Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

I lay it down as a foundation principle, which no one can gainsay, that of course [God's] voice will always be in harmony with itself, no matter in how many different ways he may speak. The voices may be many, the message can be but one, if God tells me in one voice to do or to leave undone anything he cannot possibly tell me the opposite in another voice. If there is a contradiction in the voices, the speakers cannot be the same. Therefore my rule for distinguishing the voice of God would be to bring it to the test of this harmony.
Proverbs 8:34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
James 1: 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

God whispers to us in our pleasures ... but shouts in our pains.

God whispers to us in our well-being; he shouts to us in our suffering.

How can you expect to keep your powers of hearing when you never want to listen? That God should have time for you, you seem to take as much for granted as that you couldn t have time for Him.

God speaks to us not only once in a while, but always.
See: 1 Ki 19:12; Jn 10:4; Rev 3:20.

God always answers us in the deeps, never in the shallows of our soul.

Eze 43:2. And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.

God bless you and yours!
