Abundant Life Crusades
Tony and Marge Abram have been sharing God's Good News for over 61 years!

Taiwan, Republic of China Ministry Report: Part I
Volume L No. 4

Early in the year of 1978, we had just come from South America where God had given us thousands of precious souls in our crusades there. We were driving from Seattle, Washington to Vancouver, British Columbia to speak at a banquet. It was late at night and we were listening to a missionary Gospel program on the car radio. They were telling some facts.

One of them was that one in four people in the world were Chinese. Up to that time we had led very few Chinese to the Lord as there were few that came to our crusades outside of Asia.

as Tony Abram teaches!

When I heard that, deep within me groaned. I cried out to the Lord, “Lord, are we going to win Chinese to You?”

I felt the Lord speak saying that He was preparing a harvest for us.

 That was thirty-five years ago.

In next month’s ‘Good News’ report I will continue to write what occurred during the six weeks following this experience.

However, we only have so much space to share a little of the ministry of soul winning and healing we have just had experienced in the country of Taiwan, Republic of China. Truly God moved by His Spirit. We know it is because of people like you who are praying for us.  It was good to work with John and Hyoncha Clark.

They are our representatives and Associate Evangelists for the Abundant Life Crusades and planned our itinerary in Taiwan. God moved in every service.  It made me think of the early church in the second chapter of the Book of Acts. People received Christ. They were healed, filled with the Spirit and had their needs met.

We were glad to work with some of the most influential ministers in Taiwan such as Pastor and Mrs. Chen of the Presbyterian Church, who have been our friends for years.  In the past we spoke in one of their schools with around 7,000 students, ninety percent being non Christian.  However, God is no respecter of persons. Acts 10:34.

He moved in every crusade and service. When we began to minister, the Holy Spirit fell upon these precious Chinese people. We believe Taiwan is still a key to continue to evangelize the huge country of Mainland China.

Leading adults to the Lord also!

Pray for our brethren in both countries. One friend of ours in Taiwan is Dr. Tien. He has a seven-story hospital which he owns. He uses the whole 7th floor for a Chapel.

Thirteen years ago Marge and I prayed over the building and the area that was to become a Hospital and Chapel.

Although many outsiders attended the outreach with him, a number of his patients came. Dr. Tien has many of his patients come to the weekly service.

Some hopeless are brought to the meeting for prayer. Dr. Tien told us many hopeless cases have been healed through prayer in his hospital over the years. In addition, we went to a church he had opened in a very poor area to reach the poor with the Gospel.

There were about 20 saved and many healed in that service. One woman was filled with the Holy Spirit while coming for healing.

Jesus did say that the poor would have the Gospel preached to them. God is so good!

We have come so many different times to this country that was once called Formosa which means beautiful in Portuguese. It is still a beautiful island. God has been so good each time we have come to Taiwan and blessed as we ministered the Word with signs and wonders following. Praise God for the souls that were won to Christ!

Please pray for this wonderful harvest, that God will not only cause them to grow spiritually but also that He would raise up soul winners among them. God has given us favor over the years in Asia. During the years we have ministered in churches of many denominations. In some city crusades in countries we have even had every church including Catholics, all the Evangelicals and Protestants co-operate in the crusades. Many of them have been saved as well as healed and even filled with the Holy Spirit.

However, one church that has co-operated with our crusade is the Lutheran church. Yet I had never preached in one in Asia until this mission trip. What a great time of blessing we had with them in Taiwan.

We feel that God, who is no respecter, looks only to the hearts of people and He loves them all. That is why over the years we have worked with all who desire to win souls to Christ.

We want to preach this Gospel to all till our dying breath, tell people of Jesus and His love and power to save, heal and deliver.

Ministry Team at Lutheran Church

We love the message of Jesus, John  10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  But Jesus said, No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.

Mark 5:19 Wherever he went, in villages, cities, or the countryside, they brought the sick out to the marketplaces. They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed. Mark 6:56 Continue to pray for us that we will always be faithful to Him and His calling on our lives.
