Our trip
to Africa was again, a long tiring trip, 20 hours on the plane in a small seat
without getting off, but Praise the Lord we arrived safe and sound. The weather
in South Africa was cool but sunny, as it was their winter season. Harley
Fiddler had gone on ahead to do the meetings in Kenya while I met with Owen
McGregor of the McGregor Brothers in Johannesburg, South Africa. |

We had in the
past been with their three brothers in North America in meetings together. It
was good to meet Owen. They have also been a part of the
‘Brownsville Revival’
in Florida.
Owen is building a church
to seat
5,000 people in the center of Johannesburg. He has a large tent where I taught and preached that can hold 3,000 people in
the center of Johannesburg. It is near the land they hope to build on.
The
people are
95% black
Africans and
5% are
mixed races in the
area. They hold services twice every day.
The area is called Hillbrow and is
considered the
most
dangerous part of Johannesburg. When the brothers from Midland and other parts of South Africa heard we were
there they could not believe it.
One
leading black Pastor said he would be afraid to go there, let alone preach in
the area. I
guess this is why we ask you to pray for us. We did not know of the
danger and preached there in ignorance.
However, we know if God is for us who then
can be against us. |

The sign they used for the crusade |
Psalm 91:1-6 (KJV)
1: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall
abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2: I will say of the LORD, He is my
refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3: Surely he shall
deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence
4: He
shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his
truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5: Thou shalt not be afraid for the
terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6: Nor for the pestilence
that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

While we were being blessed
in Hillbrow, Brother Harley Fiddler had a great week in Kenya.
We did not go
there at this time, but we have learned that
God's delay is not
His denial.
We will be going there at a later day as we
have made plans for Kenya in August of 2005.
God has a perfect timing for all He has for
us to do.
We always want to be in God's place in
God's time. We met Brother Harley at the airport with two South African
ministers when he flew in from Nairobi, Kenya. We went together to our
next meeting in the town of Ollfantsfontein - means elephant fountain
|
| God blessed as we encouraged
the saints through the ministry of the Word. Our third outreach crusade
took us about one hour north of the Capital City of Pretoria. (They are
changing the name to Tehwane) The name of the Township of our crusade
was Soshanguve. The weather was pleasant at about 70 degrees (20 C) and
the nights were cool |
